Silicon(Si) Plano-Concave Lenses
Single crystaline silicon (Si) is a chemically inert gas material with high hardness and insoluble in water. It has excellent light transmission properties in the 1-7 μm band, and it also has excellent light transmission properties in the far infrared band 30-300 μm, it is the characteristic can't found in other optical infrared materials. Silicon single crystal is usually used for 3-5μm mid-wave infrared optical components. Due to the good thermal conductivity and low density of this material, it is also a common material for making laser optics.
silicon (Si)plano-concave lens is composed of a flat surface and a concave spherical surface, which can produce negative spherical aberration and is often used in systems where the light is expanded or the focal length is increased to balance the deviation of other lenses and has a wide range of applications in optical systems, such as lidar, optical sensors, spectrometers and other equipment, as a light path transmission or reflection device.
Our Company can provide silicon(Si) Plano-Concave Lenses with diameters from 2-300mm and thicknesses from 0.12-60mm (accuracy up to 20-10, 1/10L@633nm),coating AR, BBAR, AF or upon request.

Silicon has high thermal conductivity and low density. Silicon is a widely used NIR material for applications in the 1.2 to 7 μm region due to its low cost and low density. Silicon is well suited for weight-sensitive applications, especially those in the 3 -5 μm range.
