Microscope reticles are clear circular glass inserts with a scale inscribed on them. It is used in place of the standard eyepiece of the microscope. There are two crossed rulers inside the eyepiece micrometer. The reticle consists of 10 concentric rings with numerical markings superimposed with a cross pattern. The smallest ring is 1mm in diameter, each ring is 1mm larger than the previous ring, and the largest is 10mm. Ring diameter from small to large is 1mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8mm, 9mm ,10mm.
